Edmodo App Review: NoRedInk

NoRedInk is a website but is also available as an Edmodo app. I hadn’t used Edmodo apps so I was eager to try it out when my 7th grade English Language Arts teacher asked me about it.

Have you ever used a comic strip in class? Have you ever turned to a comic for your own education? (If you’ve ever read the flight safety pamphlet on a plane, the answer to that question is “yes.”) Despite their historical reputation as “low brow” non-literature (they were even blamed for juvenile delinquency back in the ‘50s) comics have proven useful for everything from motivating kids to read to instructional manuals for the military.

Tech Tool Review: VideoNot.es

VideoNot.es is a website and a Chrome app. It links to your Google Drive. When you associate your Google account with VideoNot.es, it creates a new folder in your Drive called VideoNot.es.

Have Students Create Apps? Yes, They Can!

I suggest that teachers should all give the app a download and take a look regardless of what grade you teach. It may provide you with some inspiration for your own app, or idea to pursue with YOUR students this year. Brad Wilson and Steve Keinath deserve a lot of credit for what they are doing with students.
