A Successful Quest For An Early College Solution

Quest Early College High School is located north of downtown Houston in the Humble Independent School District. The school lives on a much bigger campus, set in between a middle and high school that are also part of Humble ISD.

The students not only can earn an Associate’s degree and a high school degree at no cost, but also partake in rich service learning experiences every week throughout their Quest experience.

Students take college courses both on the Quest campus and on the Lonestar Community College Campus. They also are a school that is part of the AVID program, further helping to prepare all students with the necessary skills to be ready for a collegiate environment.

Students are each a part of a family, or a group of other students in the school that they work with and collaborate with throughout their time at Quest. They engage in projects, extracurricular activities and family meetings.

In this podcast, we talk to Ginger Noyes who is the Principal of Quest (pictured below with Tom). She shares how the Early College system works and how students are performing both at Quest and out in the field and at the community college they attend.

You’ll also hear from four current Quest students (pictured below l-r: Madelyn Cahill, Yeliz Emekli, David Mouton and Jacob Cortez). They share why they love Quest as well as what they think they are getting out of their educational experience compared to if they were at a traditional high school.
