FLVS Launches The Virtual Diploma Program

For the first time, Florida Virtual School will offer the opportunity for online students outside of the state of Florida to earn their high school diploma through a virtual school. FLVS Global School is working with The Cottage School (TCS) to offer this to out of state students. This is vital for students in an area who are unable to attend a traditional high school for any number of reasons, whether:

  • The student has an illness, immune deficiency or disability that prevents them from sitting in a classroom all day.
  • The family is in the military and they are required to move frequently.
  • The student is a professional actor/actress/performer or elite athlete who needs a flexible schedule.
It’s also a great option for students who live in areas with underperforming schools or those who just want to accelerate their education.
The Virtual Diploma Program has an open enrollment policy. A student may apply for admission to the program at any time during the school year. Courses are accessible 24/7. Every course has a certified online instructor who is vital to the program. Students have regularly scheduled interactions with individual teachers via email, video chat, text, instant messaging, and phone. AP Courses are offered through the program.
