We are great supporters of the STEM movement here at Getting Smart and are always encouraging of girls hoping to break out of those stereotypes and dive into fields that have not been historically filled by women. We know it’s not always easy, as the the inforgraphic below illustrates. But we agree with the tactics to solve the problem and hope to encourage schools to offer more diverse class offerings for students at a younger age in order to get all students hooked on science, tech, engineering and math as soon as possible in their education careers.
