15 Years of Fostering Innovative Learning

For 15 years,CFY, the nonprofit behind PowerMyLearning.org, has been fostering the effective use of technology to propel personalized and student-driven learning.Now is their time to celebrate these years with their Innovative Learning Awards event this June 18^th in New York City. Each year, the Innovative Learning Awards brings together educators; technology, business, and media leaders; and CFY supporters to celebrate the year’s accomplishments and to recognize excellence and innovation in education. This year is extra special as they celebrate the impressive achievement of 15 years of helping students, teachers, and parents use digital learning to improve educational outcomes.
There has been incredible growth in the digital learning space because many individuals have had the courage and knowledge needed to make such a difference; what a meaningful way to pause and honor some of these people and their accomplishments.
This year, the awards go to….
Visionary of the Year Award: Deborah Quazzo, Founder and Managing Partner of GSV Advisors.
Deborah Quazzo is an inspiring leader making strides in the education space. Her focus on innovation and entrepreneurship in education aligns closely with CFY’s work.
Innovative Partner of the Year Award: SAP, a true CFY supporter.
SAP is being recognized for its longstanding partnership with CFY. SAP not only provides generous financial support, but also sends employee volunteers to participate in “CFY Family Learning Workshops” and other CFY programs.
Parent of the Year Award:  To be announced…
At the event, one student from a CFY partner school will be selected to present an award to his or her parent or guardian for becoming a stronger learning partner with the help of CFY and PowerMyLearning, their free K-12 digital learning platform.
Don’t Forget the Students. Middle school students from a CFY partner school in New York City will demonstrate PowerMyLearning at the event and answer attendees’ questions about what subjects they are exploring, which PowerMyLearning activities are their favorites, and how their teachers use the platform to get them motivated to learn.
