A Global Education Challenge

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt  has created a Global Education Challenge that seeks to find creative ideas for tools to improve educational outcomes for students around the world – and they’re giving away $250,000 in cash and prizes for the best ideas.
Sponsored by HMH’s Innovation Fund, the Challenge seeks to crowdsource ideas from the public in three areas of education in need of improvement: student learning, family engagement and teacher effectiveness. These ideas could include anything from a new software tool or mobile app, to a service for students, parents or teachers, to a completely new educational technology.
Entries will be accepted from Thursday May 19 through Friday July 15th, 2011. What does your idea need to include?  It needs to be impactful, unique, and adaptable.
Make sure to check out their site to learn more details.
