iNACOL Hosts Webinar On Digital Learning Policy Updates

The International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL) plans to host a webinar tomorrow, January 11, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. EST on “Next Steps for Digital Learning Now!,” which will focus on the continued work of Digital Learning Now! to implement state-level online learning policy changes.
“In 2011, sixteen states enacted legislation related to online learning,” said Susan Patrick, President and CEO of iNACOL.  “But there are still policy barriers that hinder student access and equity.  While we continue to see K-12 online and blended learning programs grow at a rapid pace on a national scale with strong demand from students interested in online courses, the growth remains uneven state by state.”
Chip Slaven, a senior advocacy associate for the Alliance for Excellent Education, will kick off the webinar with updates from Digital Learning Now!. Deirdre Finn, Deputy Director of the Foundation for Excellence in Education, will discuss “Roadmap for Reform.” These presentations will be followed by a group discussion with audience members.
