Filling the Gap: New Film for Social Studies Repairs Damaged History Perspective

Talked on the phone recently with Tryone Young about his new film Filling the Gap and was surprised to learn that much of what the country is taught about African-Americans deals with slavery and not with the human rights pioneers, inventors and innovators.
Young is making some progress in correcting this oversight by personally lobbying to get his film introduced to social studies classes nationwide.
