Good Cop, Bad Cop in Charter Sector

1. Good Cop. Following the lead of the CA Charter School Association , it’s a good sign that AZ charters are self policing . Should see more of this from TX Charter Schools now that David Dunn is there.

2. Bad Cop. The AFT is attacking OK charters as unconstitutional.

3. Feet to the Fire. At Philanthropy Roundtable this week, there was a lot of talk about holding local and state officials accountable. Here’s a good example, Jamie Gass calls Gov Patrick on the carpet for claiming to have a ‘bold vision’ for education while leaving in place caps and a ridiculous funding scheme in place for charter schools.
