– Two to three years: mobile devices and cloud computing

– Four to five years: smart objects and the personal web

The big one they missed, in the 2-3 year category is adaptive content.  As digital content evolves from flat and sequential to engaging and personalized, we’ll see increased persistence, motivation, and achievement—it’s the game changer that will make blended learning (mix of online/online) the format of the future.
