Agilix Announces Dawn to Provide Engaged Learning Anywhere
Think about the best characteristics of face-to-face instruction… now combine those with the accessibility and self-direction of online learning. That is exactly what Agilix did when envisioning their latest endeavor.
Just three years after the launch of Buzz, a personalized learning platform, Agilix announced the launch of Agilix Dawn, a mobile-first, video-centric learner platform. At the product launch event last week during iNACOL Symposium, Agilix gave attendees a peek at how the platform allows anyone to author and publish content. With offline and online availability, anyone can also learn with the platform anywhere they are.
For Publishers
By providing the e-commerce capabilities and brandable solution needed to create a mobile first, video-centric, and socially-engaging Learning Experience, Agilix Dawn provides simple tools for importing content and authoring courses. This allows anyone to build off of their expertise and create a single course or marketplace of content.
Want to publish a course on knot tying? Go for it. Maybe you just wrote a book on networking and feel you can create a course based on it? You can do that, too. Dawn gives publishers total control by allowing them to brand their website with their theme, icon, logo, copy, privacy policy, contact information, and custom URL.
Once authors publish their course they can track progress and see quickly where learners are succeeding and what areas need help. Dawn enables publishers to interact with learners and receive notifications for their activity by using the real-time conversation feeds.
Notable partners for the launch of the Dawn platform include:
- FranklinCovey’s The Leader in Me is partnering with Dawn to create engaging staff and sales training, ensuring their employees are properly educated about their mission, products, and services.
- Eduscape is partnering with Dawn to make their workshops more engaging for the learners and more affordable for themselves and their partners.
- Ready To Blend by Heather Staker, is partnering with Dawn to provide blended learning training resources.
- The Education Partners is partnering with Dawn to give current and future teachers the opportunity to participate in just-in-time Master Classes lead by international experts.
“Dawn is a game changer—teachers everywhere will love its intuitive approach to learning,” says Denise Gallucci, CEO of The Education Partners. With this professional development platform, educators everywhere will have the ability to produce content and expand learning horizons.
For Learners
Dawn is geared towards lifelong learners, from elementary age well into adulthood. Dawn is simple to use and makes it incredibly easy to access content on any device, at any time. The courses range in length, allowing learners to enjoy a quick lesson or dive deep into more time-consuming content.
“PD for teachers should embody the same virtues of personalization and blended learning that we believe in for our students,” says Heather Staker, president of Ready to Blend.
Dawn’s user-friendly interface allows learners to access high-quality video instruction as well as control the pace of their learning and easily track their progress while in a lesson.
Dawn also features real-time, peer-to-peer social discussions, where learners share insights with others, as well as instructor-lead projects, where learners demonstrate their understanding. As they master concepts, learners can receive certificates upon completion of a course.
“In the very near future there will be a large library of high-quality content and Dawn will prove to be a great marketplace for professional development providers, both small and large,” explained Tom Vander Ark, CEO of Getting Smart.
