iLearn Project Releases 2nd Edition of Online Learning 101

News Release: “iLearn Project Releases 2nd Edition of Online Learning 101: Online Learning Gives Families More Options than Ever”
OLYMPIA—Today iLearn Project released the second edition of its groundbreaking publication, Online Learning 101: A Guide to Virtual Public Education in Washington.
“With digital learning, every single child in Washington can access a world-class education—regardless of location, income, academic achievement, etc.,” said Diana Moore, director of the Freedom Foundation’s iLearn Project. “But few parents or school leaders are aware these options exist—and of the potential they hold for students. Online Learning 101 was written—and now updated—because it’s time to do something about that.”
Online Learning 101: A Guide to Virtual Public Education in Washington explores the background of digital learning in Washington, and it offers practical action steps for families, teachers, district leaders, and policymakers.
Online Learning 101 is a practical how-to guide. Parents will get answers to common questions, information on current programs, instructions on how to enroll, and examples of student success,” Moore continued. “Administrators and school board members come away with both a vision for what’s possible in their district through digital learning and how to get there. There’s explanation and a take-away for everyone.”
The second edition of Online Learning 101 also features a new chapter on blended learning.
“Blended learning is one of the most important and exciting developments in education,” said Moore. “It should be on the radar of every parent, school board member, administrator, and involved citizen.”
