The Education Foundation Launches Learning Lab in London

The Education Foundation, the United Kingdom’s education think tank launched in November 2011, and partners today launched Learning Lab, a new edtech and innovation space in the heart of London.
“The Learning Lab is an exciting project that connects up educators from across the UK as well as giving companies and partners a great chance to showcase their products, services and innovative work,” said Graham Stuart MP, Chair, Education Select Committee.
Learning Lab, which was inspired by New York City’s I-Zone and The Eden Project’s education center, is a combination of inspiring events, technology-rich professional development, and interactive classrooms and labs. It will provide a space to test new ideas, learn new teaching models and evaluate future policies.
Hundres of educators across the country who come to London each year will be able to book and utilize the space, which will be based at Hub Westminster, a 12,000 square foot incubator space for startup businesses, in the center of London – minutes from Trafalgar Square and Whitehall.
More details about the project can be found at http://www.ednfoundation.org/projects/ and www.ednfoundation.org.
