Secretary Duncan & Chairman Genachowski Join Digital Learning Day Town Hall

The first-ever Digital Learning Day, February 1, 2012, will feature a National Town Hall meeting with U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan; Federal Communications Commission Chairman Julius Genachowski; former governor and president of the Alliance for Excellent Education Bob Wise; and Emmy Award-sinning journalist Leon Harris.
The event will feature innovative schools and teachers including:
- Kristen Kipp at Jeffco Vritual Academy in Colorado
- Joe Isaacs at McKinley Technology High School
- Englewood Schools in Colorado
- Mooresville Graded School District in North Carolina
- Klein Independent School District in Houston, and
- New Tech West High School in Cleveland.
Thirty-six states, thousands of teachers and more than a half million students have registered to participate in the live broadcasting of the event Wednesday, February 1, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. ET. Register today.

We agree that income gaps among students and families makes the delivery of technology in the classroom a challenge. Yet, we also believe that finding unique ways to give students access to these tools will open doors of opportunity and knowledge for students who will go into the 21st century work world.
