iNACOL Offers Teacher Webinar for Language Arts

The International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL) will be hosting a Teacher Talk webinar on “The Evolution of Online Language Arts Resources” to examine the emerging future of digital curriculum resources for online language arts teachers and issues surrounding multimedia literacy.
This webinar will explore digital content in broadening the spectrum of learning language arts and the evolution of online language arts resources that will help teachers and students explore ways to utilize multimedia that are impossible in printed books.
According to Susan Patrick, President and CEO of iNACOL, “Today’s students are ready for learning beyond textbooks.  Digital content and technologies are transforming learning as information communications and technologies are impacting society itself in ways that are still unfolding. Teachers and students need new media literacy skills to analyze a new cadre of online content and resources and the impact on language arts as a field. Online learning and digital curricula broaden the access and depth for student learning and the evolution of educational materials need to be embraced in order to offer students the world class education they deserve.”
Speakers include Bruce Friend, Director, SAS® Curriculum Pathways®, SAS Institute, and John Warren, Director of Marketing, Publications, RAND Corporation.
This webinar is part of iNACOL Teacher Talk series and will be held Thursday, September 16th, from 6:00 – 7:00 PM (Eastern) via Elluminate. Please register online: Pricing is available for members and non-members.  Press may attend free of charge by contacting iNACOL’s Associate Director of Communications Wendy Fleming ([email protected]).
