Years of Operations Experience: 10 Years
I’m passionate about our work because:
I went through an education system that did not challenge or prepare me and I want to be a part of changing that for future generations. All kids deserve access to quality education.
My favorite learning experience is:
One that involves multiple senses, particularly hearing, seeing and doing.
My role in three words:
Coordinator of chaos.
I’m currently learning about:
I’m learning a lot about the perfection of imperfection and focusing on the things I can change, not the things I can’t. I’m also learning how to master my baking techniques. At the moment I’m focusing on elaborate cookies and cakes.
I’m currently working on:
Booking Great Schools Field Trips with Kauffman Foundation to create learning experiences for educators and admin. When not busy keeping the plates spinning at GS, I’m probably trying not to run and hide from my 5-year-old and 2-year-old.
As our professional plate spinner, Allison is responsible for making sure the back end of our company is on point and keeping us all organized. She is our jack of all trades, our coordinator of chaos. Allison manages our travel arrangements, calls and meetings, speaking engagements, client invoicing and payments, and provides support on client projects as needed. She also manages our in-house events and client events including small convenings and large scale conferences.
