Change is afoot in education. Through federal changes, shifting workforce demands, new signals, new experiences and new architectures for learning, the education system of the future might be radically different from the one that has been more or less the same for the last hundred years.

Sometimes it can be challenging to visualize what these possible futures may look like and, perhaps more importantly, what they might feel like. To transform the education system into one that sets all learners (young and old) up for success, it’s critical to do the work of imagination.

The following blogs are a fictional, but informed, part of that journey. Alongside guest authors, we imagine how the pieces might fit together to form a new learning system in the year 2040.
