The International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL) announced Wednesday that it will provide a webinar with highlights on the latest developments, policies and practices in online and blended learning from the recent Keeping Pace With K-12 Online Learning by the Evergreen Education Group.
“The 2011 Keeping Pace report shows that K-12 online and blended learning programs are evolving, with opportunities existing for at least some students in all 50 states, as well as the District of Columbia,” said Susan Patrick, President and CEO of iNACOL. “But there is still progress to be made, as no state has yet to implement a full suite of full-time and supplemental options for students at all grade levels in K-12 education.”
“The report further indicates that while K-12 online and blended learning continues to grow at a rapid pace on a national scale, the growth remains uneven, with constricted policy barriers hampering access for students, while at the same time, there are new policy developments in several states increasing access – so that student access varies depending upon district and state capabilities for growth and expansion of innovative educational programs,” said Patrick.
The webinar, which is Wednesday, December 14, 2011 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. EST, will be presented by John Watson, a key contributor to the Keeping Pace report.
