“The Reading Room” Premieres on EdReach.us

Who better to talk about 21st century reading skills and integrating tablets and ereaders into the classroom than the people from Subtext, a powerful app that enhances reading on a device for both students and teachers in ways that weren’t even imaginable just a decade ago? Starting today, representatives from Subtext will host “The Reading Room,” a brand new podcast, hosted on the EdReach channel, focused on unpacking literacy instruction as we shift from paper books to digital instruction and more and more schools move to the 1:1 model with their students.

“At Subtext, we’re constantly inspired by the work of our network of teachers who are dedicated to making reading more engaging in the digital classroom,” said Heidi Perry, Subtext product director. “The Reading Room will tap into the conversations happening among educators across the country, giving teachers a voice to elevate topics related to digital reading, literacy tools, and strategies, and ultimately what kids love to read – in language arts, science, history, and every classroom in between.”

EdReach.us continues to add to their  network library of channels and podcasts, giving a voice to hundreds of educators and eduction stakeholders who strive to innovate their practice and create the most constructive learning spaces for students in this digital age of education.  We profiled 10 Edreach podcasts here on Getting Smart, but new shows  like “The Reading Room” are being added so stay subscribed to EdReach if you are looking to stay connected to the most current and innovate ideas happening in education right now.
