Discover Fundraising Tips From a NJ Junior High School

Westwood Regional Junior Senior High in Township Of Washington, NJ created “Charity Champions,” a SchoolTube video to showcase how it raised money for cancer research with a series of initiatives involving students, educators, parents and the local community.
This video is a great resources for other schools looking for some great fundraising ideas for local initiatives. The students, teachers and community planned and executed the following fundraisers and events:

  • Pizza Sale
  • Event Cans
  • Holiday Bake Sale
  • Dress Down Day for Teacher
  • Jeans for Cancer
  • Wrist Ban Sales
  • Snack Stand Donation
  • Cablevisions Donations
  • Stick it to Cancer, and
  • Community Awareness.
The $2,908.44 in funding raised, which was a part of Power to Learn’s Charity Champions challenge to fundraise for a cause, went to the American Cancer society.
