Join the Global Education Conference Live Online

The Global Education Conference, a collaborative community initiative, kicked off this week around the world and will run through Friday, November 18, 2011. The entire conference is being broadcasted online for free using the Blackboard Collaborate platform.
The conference is led by students, educators and organizations working to increase opportunities to build education-related connections around the globe. The conference seeks to foster ideas, examples and projects related to global competency, problems and citizenship. Sessions take place in multiple time zones and in multiple languages over the course of the week.
“Our goal is to help you make connections with other educators and students, and for this reason the conference is very inclusive and also provides broad opportunities for participating and presenting,” says Founder and Co-Chair Steve Hargadon.
Getting Smart Blogger Tom Vander Ark spoke at the conference on Monday about the promise and potential of personal digital learning. Click here to view the presentation recording.
