Empowering Black and Latino Boys in NYC

This past Friday, the NYC Department of Education Office of Community Engagement launched its Empowering Boys website which serves as a one-stop resource for educators to gather and share resources that support Black and Latino boys in reaching their full potential. The Empowering Boys website will chronicle those successes and build a network of partners, schools, and organizations that are working to close the achievement gap for Black and Latino boys. This website offers substantive, proven tools, resources, strategies for raising academic achievement for Black and Latino boys, and practical examples of the various solutions in action. We encourage schools to partner with community- and faith-based organizations to provide innovative solutions that effectively serve our students.
