iNACOL Encourages Focus on High Quality in RttT

The International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL) released a statement congratulating the ten winners in Phase 2 of Race to the Top and its President Susan Patrick encouraged the states to focus on offering access to high standards of education for all students.
Susan Patrick, President and CEO of iNACOL, said: “We encourage these states to continue to focus on online learning as it is an innovation that can increase access to high-quality educational opportunities and transform education for students from all socio-economic backgrounds.”
The Race to the Top is a competitive grant program of $4.3 billion in federal funding designed to reward and incentivize states to make and support education reforms and innovations. The ten RttT grants went to: the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, and Rhode Island.
