iNACOL advancing online learning

The Virtual School Symposium, hosted by iNACOL, is Mon-Tues in Austin.  I joined the board because
1) we’re within reach of being able to offer quality learning to every student in American and iNACOL will take us over the finish line.  Hold out states like NY that don’t even have an online learning law deprive students of core and supplemental options.  If we’re serious about offering every student a quality college prep option (especially STEM options) we need to remove the barriers to quality online education.
2) with expanding broadband, cheap access devices, powerful application platforms, adaptive content, and social learning networks, we’re headed for a blended world. Like EIA members, iNACOL members are leading the way by creating the future of personalized performance-based digital learning.
Tomorrow we’ll celebrate progress of the last few years (like 10x membership growth in 4 years) and talk about how to leverage the massive federal investment (which mostly ignores elearning) and the new stream of private equity and venture investment.
