6 New Apps from Edshelf

We know educators love finding new resources during the summer months because they have a little extra time to play and explore and acquire new skills. Edshelf is a great place where teachers can go to find new tools, organize them and share with each other. It offers reviews & recommendations of technology for educators and parents, so you can find the right tools for your specific needs. Each week, Edshelf shares the newest additions to their app library to help their followers find great new content and stay current on the best educational apps.

Do you use iPads in your classroom? Or plan to? A lot of your colleagues do. Educators like yourself made last week another record-breaking week of new additions to edshelf, most of which are iPad apps. Here are six notable apps added in the past week.

  • BuzzMath – This app has over 2800 Common Core aligned math problems for middle school students. Includes classroom deployment features.

  • Motion Math: Wings – If exercises aren’t your thing, here is a math game aimed at primary school students. Teaches multiplication in a visual way.

  • Bill Nye The Science Guy – Bill Nye is on the iPad! Drawn in a cartoony style, this app features games and video clips from his TV show.

  • 123D Creature – Give your students a good laugh as they create all kinds of wacky animals & aliens with this 3D modeling app.

  • Pixie – And if 3D modeling isn’t what you need, this app lets students paint and record their voice to publish interactive storybooks and videos.

  • UPAD – Students aren’t the only ones to benefit from this week’s batch. You can use this app to annotate PDFs & photos with natural handwriting.

Enjoy these new additions!
