The International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL, where I’m a director) is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.  Today they launched a brand new iNACOL website to provide more resources on projects, research, quality assurance, and new learning models. It’s a great and dynamic resource for online, blended, and competency-based learning research and resources. In addition to an updated web presence, iNACOL announced today a new name for its annual conference: the iNACOL Blended & Online Learning Symposium.  Seven years ago iNACOL took over the Virtual School Symposium (VSS) in Denver. Last year, iNACOL’s VSS convened more than 2,000 teachers, administrators, content developers, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders over four days in New Orleans. What became apparent last year is that online learning has gone mainstream–it’s being incorporated into every students daily life.  The iNACOL conference reflected that change, but the name didn’t.

Time to sign up for the best blended and online learning conference of the year.  The iNACOL Blended and Online Learning Symposium will be held October 27-30 in Orlando, Florida.
iNACOL CEO Susan Patrick said, “We are bringing together our growing community of innovators in K-12 online and blended learning, with a special track and emphasis on competency-based education this fall. We will build on the progress of the last decade and continue to work to push the field of K-12 education toward equity, excellence, and world-class, quality learning opportunities that prepare students for college, careers and a lifetime of success.”
See you in Orlando!
