Connections Learning Supports Network of Innovative Blended Schools

ConnectionsLearning.com, sister group to the the national online learning network Connections Academy, is supporting the development of a blended charter network.
The effort is led by Mickey Revenaugh, a director of iNACOL and certainly one of the most thoughtful and knowable folks in the sector.
The schools will be small, not more than 250 students, and will usually meet in two shifts.  Nexus Schools will start with Connexus, the comprehensive curriculum and school management platform from Connections.  They will add a good dose of project-based learning and internships.  It’s a very cool design that combines personalized learning with a supportive environment.
Connections will support the opening of Nexus Academy of Lansing and Nexus Academy of Grand Rapids, two new blended learning charter schools in Michigan for high school students.  Both academies are seeking local volunteer board members to guide these new personalized college and career prep charter high schools through successful launch in Fall 2012. A great way to network with education innovators and give back to your community! If you are in the Lansing or Grand Rapids area and want more info, email Mickey Revenaugh at [email protected].
