SXSWedu Announces US Secretary of Education as Keynote

It was announced today that Arne Duncan will keynote the second annual SXSWedu conference in Austin, Texas. Duncan was confirmed as Secretary of Education under President Barack Obama in January 2009.
SXSWedu, taking place March 6-8, 2012 is part of the annual SXSW festival that supports 21st century innovation and best practices. Education leaders and companies from around the country will attend keynote and interactive sessions which were selected through a public PanelPicker. Session topics will range from early childhood to college and career readiness, and will include assessment, emerging trends, digital content, gaming and learning, higher ed, open education resources, research and evaluation, and statewide portals, including Texas’ Project Share.
SXSWedu 2012 promises to be as innovative and interactive as last year’s conference with exciting additions such as LAUNCHedu, Meet Ups and Content Colloborative. More information can be found here.
