PLATO Learning, an online provider K-20 learners, announced today the launch of vCourses, research-based courses, optimized for virtual programs and designed to improve learning in the 21st century.
One of the biggest challenges teachers face in the classroom is bored or disengaged students. New learning programs like vCourses can help engage students in their learning by creating a fun, motivating environment.
vCourses offers educators and students:

  • A streamlined workflow for teachers and administrators
  • An intuitive interface for learners, and
  • Support services for effective implementation.
“As the online learning population continues to grow rapidly, we will continue to support schools and districts by providing a virtual learning experience that sets the standard for the industry,” said Jamie Candee, vice president of product and marketing for PLATO Learning. “Virtual courses are becoming an expectation of learners and families. With PLATO vCourses, schools and districts can meet that expectation, and offer a learning option that will help them retain students.”
Like all PLATO courses, vCourses are aligned to Common Core, state and national standards. They also follow the iNACOL National Standards of Quality for Online Courses, ensuring students receive an exceptional virtual learning experience.
PLATO will be featuring and demonstrating vCourses at booth 56 at the Virtual School Symposium in Indianapolis November 9-11.
